Biological boosting in oral regeneration
Through a process of centrifugation of the patient's blood, without additives, we obtain a fibrin mesh L-PRF. It is PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) in addition to the cytokines.
During the centrifugation, the blood coagulates naturally, generating a fibrin clot containing 50% of the leukocytes and 97% of the platelets, which are activated by releasing their growth factors and anti-inflammatory cytokines, being trapped in the mesh of fibrin.
Many studies support the use of L-PRF in surgical protocols confirming that they accelerate healing and improve the quality and quantity of soft tissues (epithelium, connective tissue, Schneider's membrane, etc.) and hard (regenerated nasal and alveolar bone), which favors osseointegration of the implants.
In addition, the L-PRF has other fundamental advantages:
- It reduces bleeding from wounds, important in anticoagulated patients
- It reduces inflammation and possible postoperative pain
- It possesses antibacterial properties
- It protects the wound
- Being 100% autologous, there is no possibility of cross contamination, or side effects.
For all these reasons, in our Institute, Dr. Higuero has been using this system for many years, which allows it to obtain an even higher success rate in all surgical treatments.
